À propos de Sonia.O

Self-taught, I have been passionate about drawing since I was a kid. As a teenager, I spent hours drawing in pencil, in dreaming of making it my job...

This thought seems utopian to me, I put away my material for business studies, without conviction. Then life does its work, work, family… without really flourishing. Three years ago, a friend asked me to do a painting for her, a portrait of an Indian warrior.

That’s the trigger for me: I then take out my acrylic box offered by my parents years earlier, and I do it. The magic happens, I find my passion, which will become essential, necessary to my life, to my balance. I finally allow myself to believe in it.

The Woman then inspires me, her fragility of appearance and her inner strength. This is what I seek in my works. I like to transcribe emotions, mainly through a look.

Immerse yourself in it and let yourself be carried away by the emotions it reveals to us. Because the eyes are the mirror of the soul…

During my meetings, I discover techniques, I learn, I test supports, I refine my paintings. I work mainly on acrylic canvas with brush or bomb, but I like to test new supports according to my inspiration (newspaper, wood, jute canvas, walls.. ) I have the chance to make some exhibitions, beautiful experiences; but my main interest is the large format, the very large.. the walls, which I want to develop in the future.

“Sometimes the winner is just a dreamer who never gave up,” said Jim Morrison… so ENJOY!
